Profile of Frances Turk
Frances got her start in the entertainment industry at a young age, where she began on stage playing lead roles in local theatres in her community. She has taken the skills she obtained both on stage and in the classroom and further developed them over the years and incorporated them into her company, DRAMATIC ENTERTAINMENT. Due to her continuous quest to be a part of many types of functions, Frances has expanded her expertise in the industry and has added more Emcee roles and race announcing venues to her long list of qualifications. To grow with these added accomplishments, the name DRAMATIC ENTERTAINMENT has replaced the former Dramatic DJ's name, thus encompassing all the areas of entertainment. Big or small, we can plan it all!
Frances' music background comes partially from school and also a great deal from working at the restaurant/nightclub, Studebaker's. Studebaker's was a venue Frances had worked at in the 1980's that played a lot of fifty's and sixty's music and had a great atmosphere. It is here where she learned a lot of the history of Rock'N'Roll as well as learning some fun and exciting dance routines that she now teaches to others. This is also where she learned the art of impersonating rock and roll pop stars such as Elvis Presley, Mick Jagger, Madonna, Diana Ross, and the list goes on. Frances is more than just a DJ, she is a high energy Interactive Entertainer/Emcee/Event announcer with the ability to make each and every function she performs at one that is personal and geared to fit each audience.
Some of the great venues that Frances has performed at include the Toronto Skydome, London Convention Centre, Royal York Hotel, The King Edward Hotel, Muskoka Sands Resort, and Deerhurst Resort to name a few. She has also traveled to a multitude of places in Ontario as well as throughout Canada such as Thunder Bay, Sudbury, Port Elgin, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, New Brunswick, Alberta and British Columbia. Location is never an issue when it comes to hiring DRAMATIC ENTERTAINMENT.
