FAQ

Q. How long have you been race announcing?
A. I have personally been race announcing for 15 years. I started at the Milton Women’s Triathlon series and have been referred to many other events from there. This is an honour to me as I truly love being a part of these races. I truly love to see the faces of each participant as they make their way across the finish line, holding their hands up high in excitement for their amazing accomplishment of the day.

Q. What types of races have you covered?
A. I have covered the Women’s Triathlon Series, as well as covering for one of my astounding race announcing colleagues, Barrie Shepley, in Caledon’s Kids of Steel event, I have announced at other children’s triathlon races including the Tri-Gators, and have now entered ½ and full marathon races including the Chocolate half marathon in Port Dalhousie (very sweet...mmm!!). I have also announced the famous Mud Run, and 24 hour Trail walkers’ events up North and recently corporate events as well. I’m game for any sport, just ask!

Q. Do you supply your own equipment?
A. Yes, I can. As I am also a Disk Jockey company, I do have equipment at the ready. However, this will depend on the size of your event, so this inquiry will need to be addressed according to the event in question.

Q. Do you play music?
A. Absolutely! I am able to bring out some tunes for your event to keep the motivation and spirits up for your athletes. This again will need to be addressed the same as the equipment inquiry in order to ensure that we are prepared for the size and length of the day.

Q. Do you travel?
A. I would LOVE to! As long as we discuss accommodation and travel expenses, I’m willing to travel to your event even if it is out of province! I have travelled all over Canada in the past as a Disk Jockey so doing the same thing to announce your event would be an honour!
